BIBLE STUDY 16.11.06

with reference to sermon by rev joe purcell on 16.11.06 on the topic of seeds.

caught a revelation this morning on my way to work.

correct me if i'm wrong, but it is only natural for the seed to die completely first, before the plant can actually sprout its first leaf.

so...what's the seed in your heart today?

before you receive salvation, grace and favor, you first recognise that Christ (the seed) died for your sin on the cross.

in order for a plant to grow, you need to water it constantly. similarly, u need to water the seed in your heart (which is the constant reminder of the sacrificial Lamb) with the Word.

as Pastor always mention, find and see Jesus in every sermon preached. water this Seed by constant hearing of the Word preached.

even in the chinese name of Jesus Christ, 耶 in 耶酥 has two ears literally. personally, i think God is trying to show us something here.

indeed, faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.
